What do I need to activate SSL for my website?
IMPORTANT
Once SSL Support is enabled for your Web Hosting Order, you would be able
to:
- install a Digital Certificate on this
website
A Digital
Certificate allows you to establish your credentials when doing business or
other transactions on the Web.
- use a Dedicated IP Address
An IP Address dedicated to your website
Digital Certificate
A Digital Certificate is provided by a reputed
third party provider (Certifying Authority, or CA). You
need to:
- Generate a CSR, or a Certificate Signing
Request from your Control Panel.
- Submit the CSR to the Certifying Authority
(CA) from whom you wish to purchase the certificate.
- Get the certificate issued by your CA, and
submit the same for your website from your Control Panel.
Dedicated IP Address
This is an IP Address
specifically allocated for your website. This IP Address is not shared with other web
hosting packages on a shared server, and is used only by your website. Dedicated
IP Address is required to provide a separate dedicated channel for the encrypted
data to flow between the client (browser) and the server.
Enabling SSL Support for your Website
- Login to your
Control Panel, search for the domain name for which you have purchased
this hosting package and proceed to the Order Details view.

- On the next page, your Cost Price and your Selling
Price would be displayed.
- Click the Confirm button.
